Message Board

Gave my message board a makeover. Thought it was looking ugly. So heres the new!

Not really a step by step explanation but.... you can see the process below...

You need some fabric...

Either felt, foam, or some kind of cushion under the fabric

Some floral decoration. Optional.

Staple the felt + fabric together to the board.

Get ribbon and staple them and create a diamond pattern

Designs are up to you. I decided to do diamonds.

Finished. Used the florals to cover the staples and glued on some rhinestones on the ribbons.

Photo/Message board in use. Hung on some charms and buttons.

Thought this might inspire someone to make their own board. Doesn't take much, just make sure to be careful using a staple gun. <3

Sneak Peak: Salve/Balm

Its really been quite a while since I developed any new flavor of lip balms or anything apothecary related. I just didn't have time and space to do any of that. However I decided I am going to create a new salve/balm for cracked skin, dry elbows, chapped lips <3 I'm excited! Time to work on the labels!

Hangover Part 2

I went on a triple movie dat night to the movies to watch Hangover 2. HangOver 2 was hilarious. This sequel lived up to its parent film. I just couldn't stop laughing. However, I thought the first one was better :) Won't be a spoiler but I'd give it a 9/10. I give it a nine because it wasn't as funny as the first one but its just as good. Same cast members and yes, with all the ridiculous plots.

Since the school semester is over, I was finally able to do some projects I've been wanting to do like make a keychain with my name on it. It was tricky but I did it. Here are the results:

The plastic didn't come out as thick as I wanted it to. I'm going to try another method to see how it'll work. Or just design some earrings and cut 'em out.

A Creative Weekend with the Kids

Busy weekend with my little cousins and her friends. This is the first time teaching someone how to make clay charms and it was kind of challenging. Taught the two kids (Jasmine and Annie) how to make creamsicles, toast, watermelon, and croissant. As you can tell, I drew on the faces because I have a steadier hand. All in all, it was a fun weekend. Too bad I didn't get much studying done. However, I've been so stressed out over the past two months; good to blow off some steam and relax just for a bit. I'll continue to teach them next weekend. Should be fun! More projects to come! 

Cricut expression!

I just ordered a cricut expression from walmart a couple hours ago and im excited! I have been wanting this machine for the past 2 - 3 years. This is a big investment even for me but I am hoping the payoff will be impressive. I have a lot of project ideas where this machine will be essential. Now all I need to do now is invest in a color laser printer. I hope someday I'll have a workshop/craft room to store all my gadgets because i really want to buy more stuff xD
